The Tannery is an historic manufacturing site where leather was coloured and processed. A mixed-use scheme created a destination for arts, culture, workspaces and dining. This brand proposal offered a vibrant, engaging space with crafted bespoke typeface – 'Tannery Cut'. This typeface refers to leather finishing, with subtle nicks and cuts, offering a crafted, traditional quality. A system of supporting graphics was designed to bring flexibility to layouts, referring to the physical space and historic leather tradecraft. Bespoke iconography was also created, in-keeping with the typography, used in wayfinding and signage.
